Can that help anyone? There's a lot of different species here. [Like some goat man. That's definitely who she's wondering about. Not at all about herself.] How do they understand what's damaged?

So far I haven't met anyone it can't help. ( her voice brightens here, and for the first time she's openly offering reassurance. ) Do you know what DNA is? They have been engineered to read a cell's DNA, and to follow the instructions according to what they find, so they can help them regenerate themselves. It's not doing anything that a healthy cell wouldn't be able to do on its own.

If you'd like, I could give you a demonstration.

[What if your DNA is confused though... She doesn't ask it. She should. She knows. But she can't trust someone like this, not on a first meeting, not without being face-to-face.]

( for now, she's really not going to be asking questions like that. as much as she prefers to treat causes rather than symptoms, it doesn't really occur to her that some kind of crazy genetic engineering is the cause of her condition, though perhaps it should. she does have experience stabilising gene therapy however, given what she has to work with, it would be a stretch of her abilities to do anything more than relieve symptoms. )

I have two ways I could show you. I can wear a piece of my suit with this technology in it, or I can give you a bit of the serum I would be giving you. I can also take it myself, if you want to see what it's like.

Of course. ( a smile she cannot see, but perhaps hear? ) I of course cannot force you to take a treatment you don't know anything about, or consent to it. I respect your scepitism. I think it's a sign of a healthy mind.

Any time is fine for me. My work takes priority over everything else, so if there's a time that works for you, do not be shy about it.

I can do that. Does the afternoon work for you? ( she has something in the morning, though she will move it if necessary. also, if the poor girl is any sicker than she says, she imagines she might have something of a weird sleeping schedule. ) At the moment I do not have an office of my own. I can either make a house call, or meet you up on the station.

[She does have a weird sleeping schedule, but it has nothing to do with her physical ailments.] The afternoon is good, and going up to the Station is preferable. [She can't imagine having to deal with Akechi potentially around, letting him know more about what's wrong with her after he was the only person to see her zoning out.]

( smiling as she says this, to indicate she has no nefarious intentions, but she has sensed enough of the girl's hesitation to know that there might be a risk of ought suspicion and distrust. no point in making it harder to help someone than it needs to be. )

[That is reassuring to see a face. She doesn't almost switch herself, but only decides in the end since it makes finding one another on the Station easier, and Anemone is very easy to spot with her hair.] Okay, I will see you there.

( and, whether she's nervous or not, hesitant or not, sick or not, her hair and what seem to be her young age endear her Mercy. it's horrible to think that someone so young is suffering. any kind of hurting is awful, but especially when it is someone who has not yet experienced all that life has to offer, besides pain. )
